Moon Tanka...
Don't forget to share your moon-themed tanka with Maragret Dornaus for her birthday bash giveaway. You have until July 20, and go into the draw to win a copy of Modern Japanese Tanka. Here's mine:
Thanks, Maggie! I orginally wrote this tanka for Pamela's "Moonbathing Contest" last year, but have made a slight change since then. Was very happy to share it for your birthday bash! Only a few days now... :)
Kirsten Cliff is a writer of prose and poetry: particularly haiku and tanka. She is currently working on her first collection exploring her journey through leukaemia, titled “Patient Property”. Her poetry has been published in New Zealand, Australia, India, Japan, England and America, as well as on-line. She is editor of the haikai section of “a fine line”, The Magazine of the New Zealand Poetry Society. Her other creative interests include photography and craft-making, which she often combines with her haiku and tanka to make haiga.
