Mindful Writing Challenge: Day 15

over the phone
she tells me about
the funeral I didn't go to
because I was seeing a doctor
about trying to save my own life

  1. Enjoyed this so much, Kirsten ~ very touching. I am intrigued about the format of your stone and the way it is written, too. Is this a tanka?

    1. Hi Judith,
Thanks so much for stopping by. I'm glad you enjoyed my small stone.
I wasn't writing to any form here, just breaking up prose lines where it felt right for me at the time.
Beacuse I usually write in the haiku and tanka forms, I often try to just go 'free form' for small stones writing month so that I can play and stretch with words and images in a new way.
There are tanka on this blog though. Please feel free to look around! :)
