Thanks so much, Merrill! Yes, it was interesting for me having moved from a beach community to a rural community at the end of last year. I've been back to the beach once to visit a friend, but it being winter we left our shoes on :)
Kirsten Cliff is a writer of prose and poetry: particularly haiku and tanka. She is currently working on her first collection exploring her journey through leukaemia, titled “Patient Property”. Her poetry has been published in New Zealand, Australia, India, Japan, England and America, as well as on-line. She is editor of the haikai section of “a fine line”, The Magazine of the New Zealand Poetry Society. Her other creative interests include photography and craft-making, which she often combines with her haiku and tanka to make haiga.
This was a fun post, wasn't it? Love your haiku.
